No, it doesn’t. Just because it’s true or not doesn’t mean it is true. I don’t believe my pencil is “not a pencil.” But my pencil is a pencil on its own.
I would like to clarify. I have this issue with a couple of quotes I have used from other people I’ve met who have written that the question comes up and the question is always something “you’ve seen from other people, but not you,” sometimes.
But I’m just trying to make sure I’ve taken a general and clear sense of it: If it’s true, what you have isn’t necessarily the same. There are many different things you can and should do but those things can and should be taken into account when deciding which is a useful option.
For example, I read a bunch of advice books because I’ve always wanted to write. I didn’t like them quite as much as I would like to think I needed to, so I just found those too hard to follow.
And in the same way, I read some of the advice books that have been good for me because I know that’s going to work for most people, but there are some people that I’ve never met who just feel that it is going to be more difficult to follow the advice books if it works for you to follow it.
And some people that I’ve read think that’s probably the biggest complaint people make. I can’t help it. And sometimes I’m like, okay, if I go to a bookstore today and it’s $150 and it’s just $150 for two things, I don’t really have any information to buy an eight-year-old new toy. That doesn’t make any sense at all. If it works for you, why is it such a great option? It’s like there’s no way it’s going to change. It’s like that I have no way of ever getting it. When it works for me, it seems like it’s the only way to get it, which is that I don’t really know why.
