July 15, 2023: The Somerset team wins T20 Blast Championship at Edgbaston in Birmingham. They defeated the Essex team by 14 runs after a tough competition in the final match.
Earlier, in the first semi-final of the championship, the Essex team defeated the Hampshire team by 5 wickets under the DSL method – while in the second semi-final, the Somerset team defeated the Surrey team by 24 runs. – Somerset last won the championship in 2005 when it beats Lancashire Lightning in the summit clash at The Oval.
